Seymour Centre

Seymour Centre is the University of Sydney’s multi-venue performing arts centre, engaging diverse audiences through programming that celebrates great ideas and great performance. It is home to the York Theatre, Everest Theatre and Reginald Theatre.

Welcoming over 250,000 visitors each year, Seymour produces and presents major performances from local and international artists, and champions learning through a comprehensive Arts Education program.

Seymour also enlivens Sydney’s artistic life through presenting partnerships with major cultural events such as Sydney Festival and Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Tickets 

To help minimise contact, all Seymour tickets are now delivered as e-tickets via email.  

Payment 

Please use contactless payment wherever possible. Contactless options are available at Seymour's Box Office and all food and beverage outlets. 

Personal belongings 

Seymour does not have a cloakroom. Please only bring a small bag, able to be stored under your seat. 

Foyers

Foyers open one hour prior to the same start time of each event. Theatre doors open 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start time of each event.

Getting Here

BIKE
There are bike racks in the courtyard in front of Seymour.

CAR
The closest secure car park is the Shepherd Street multi-storey car park located on the corner of Cleveland Street and Shepherd Street in Chippendale and is accessible via Shephard Street. 

The Shepherd St car park is managed by the University of Sydney. Please call 02 9351 3336 or email the University Traffic and Parking Office at security.traffic@sydney.edu.au for any additional information. Limited free parking is available at the University of Sydney or in the surrounding streets. Please visit Seymour's website for the latest parking information.

BUS
There is a bus stop outside Seymour on City Road, with frequent services throughout the day. 

TRAIN
Seymour is a 10-minute walk from Redfern Station via Ivy Street. From Central Station, it’s a 25-minute walk via Cleveland Street. 

Accessibility More Information

PARKING
Access parking is located on Maze Cres within the University of Sydney and a short distance to Seymour's entrance.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
There is lift access to all levels of Seymour and wheelchair seating is available in all venues. Patrons can stay in their wheelchair or transfer from their chair to a seat and we can reserve an adjacent seat for companions. If you require wheelchair seating, please advise Box Office when booking.

ACCESSIBLE TOILETS
Fully accessible toilets are located on the ground floor.

HEARING LOOPS
Hearing loops are available in the Everest and York Theatres, amplifying sound for specific areas of seating.  If you require hearing loop access, please advise Box Office when booking.


COMPANION CARD
Seymour is a Companion Card affiliate. We provide Companion Card holders with a second ticket for their chosen companion at no cost. Cardholders must present their card when booking and attending a performance.
