Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney entwines people, plants and place.  On the shores of Warrane - the harbour - this place of red gums, grasstrees and sandstone has always been a place of community, celebration and Connection to Country. The oldest botanic garden in Australia, it is the site of innovative plant research, science and environmental conservation work.  The Garden holds vibrant, dynamic collections of plants and green spaces, stunning formal plantings, themed gardens, open lawns and shrubberies.
