Fiesta Aliens!

Something strange is taking shape in Darling Harbour. And you're invited to embrace the weird!

Filipino artist Leeroy New and his team are turning everyday discards into a riot of otherworldly creatures, costumes and fantastical floats. Inspired by the wild extravagance of Filipino fiestas and the resourcefulness of making magic from what others throw away, Fiesta Aliens! is a gloriously intractable invitation to create together.

Drop in to dream up your very own wearable alien from recycled plastics and found materials, or add an outrageous flourish to one of Leeroy's spectacular pageant floats. No artistic experience required. Just bring your imagination, your extra pair of hands and your most wonderfully outrageous ideas.

Then, on Saturday 23 January, watch it all come alive as Leeroy leads a spectacular Fiesta Parade through Darling Harbour.

Come to make. Come to transform. Come to parade. There's room for every species at this fiesta!
