From Ukraine via Berlin comes Ganna Gryniva – aka GANNA – a multi-talented singer and composer who has established herself as one of the most gifted artists on the European jazz scene.
GANNA infuses the traditional songs of Ukrainian folklore with modern jazz, experimental electronics and improvisation to create a sound as enchanting as it is beautiful.
Since breaking out with her 2020 ensemble album Dykyi Lys, GANNA has gone on to critical acclaim with her 2022 follow-up Home – a unique reinterpretation of Ukrainian folk standards dubbed “Album of the Year” by Germany’s Deutschlandfunk Kultur – and her 2023 electro-folk stunner Kupala.
GANNA heads to Sydney this summer with acclaimed Berlin-based guitarist Tal Arditi. A teenage musical prodigy who has played with members of the Rolling Stones, Arditi has rapidly emerged as one of the hottest new talents on the European scene.
"The levels of talent – even wizardry – which run through her... are extraordinary."
– London Jazz News
"One of the most impressive singers and musicians on the European jazz and world music scene."
